Our Story

Revival of Vijer Dolpo (ROV-Dolpo) is a non-profit organization committed to transforming lives in the enchanting Dolpo region. Tenzin Gyaltsen Lama, the head lama of Nasar Gumba in Vijer village, initiated the Revival of Vijer Dolpo (ROV-Dolpo), which was established in 2001 AD and funded by Mr. and Mrs. Pritzker (an American family) and Mr. and Mrs. Roncoroni (a Swiss family). The organization's mission is to improve local community access to healthcare, education, and livelihoods.  

 

Later, in the year 2011 A.D., it was formally registered as an NGO with the District Administration Office, Kathmandu and affiliated with the Social Welfare Council of the Government of Nepal.
